Vanessa Sulzer
As a Certified End of Life Educator as well as an experienced yoga practitioner, Vanessa guides her clients not only through the practical tasks, but also the heart-centered aspects of end of life planning. She works with clients who are navigating or recovering from serious illness, along with those who are facing a terminal diagnosis. She also serves those who are grieving, and sometimes her clients are facing more than one of these intense circumstances at once.
“Spending time with the dying and grieving has taught me how important it is to be present, to listen, and to simply be a witness as they process what is happening in their mind, body, and spirit,” said Vanessa. “I do yoga movements and breathing with my students, but my teaching is mainly about creating a safe, loving environment for people to explore and process their emotions and experiences.”
Vanessa became an End of Life Educator through Willow End of Life so she could better serve those who are facing their mortality, whether imminent or not. In her words:
“My approach is influenced by my long-time meditation practice, which is about being present and sitting with whatever comes up. I listen and allow people to process however they need to. I am there to guide, encourage, and to witness.”
