Patricia LaVallee
Patricia’s experience as an end of life caregiver began with the death of her grandfather when she was only five years old. She was allowed to help with his care and given gentle lessons on the dying process by her grandmother. This experience shaped the way she views death, as a natural and inevitable part of life. In her words:
“Grief will always be difficult, but I have found that the more knowledge we have about dying and the better prepared we are for it, the more gentle the grief experience can be.”
As a Registered HomeCare Nurse, Hospice Provider, and Nurse Educator, Patricia provided hands-on end of life care and education for more than 45 years. Today she is a Licensed Willow End-of-Life Educator, Certified Mindset Facilitator Coach, and International Coaching Federation Member. She combines all her professional expertise with helpful real-life experience as an elder woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and pet mom.
