Erin Chambers
Erin’s journey into end of life work began before she ever knew what to call it. Growing up, she was very close to her grandparents. Though her grandpa and nanny’s end of life journeys were very different, she was able to serve as a support and a guide for both of them, and she carries the lessons, knowledge, and practical skills she gained from that experience with her to this day.
Presently Erin is an End of Life Doula with experience in both practical tasks and emotional guidance, such as advance care planning, family meeting facilitation, assistance in organizing health care teams - including funeral homes and cemeteries, assistance with MAiD (medical assistance in dying) administrative process and procedures, legacy projects, and celebrations/ceremony. “I am passionate about people knowing what their choices are, and offering compassion and a safe space for questions, emotions, or even silence,” she said. “I’ve been fortunate to come alongside many family members, close friends, and clients on their journeys.
Erin has worked with both individuals and groups all over the world. She also gives back to the community through her work with senior outreach organizations and retirement homes. Her many accreditations include:
Certified Life Coach with a specialization in Grief/Energy Coaching/Counseling
Certified Holistic Health Coach with specialization in Emotional Eating
Certified Willow End of Life Educator
Trained Traumatic Loss Facilitator
Certified Funeral/Life Celebrant
Erin says her passion is for supporting, guiding, and educating not only elderly people, but a younger population as well. She explained, “I believe that if we can start a regular conversation with ourselves and others early, we become better connected to ourselves and our stories, and we benefit those around us.”
